Adding a Backup Policy for a Windows Hosting package

  1. Login to your Control Panel, Search for the domain name for which you have purchased this Windows Hosting Order and go to the Order Information view. 1

  2. Click the Manage Web Hosting link.

  3. In the Menu, point to Manage Website -> Backup Manager and then click Add Backup Policy.

  4. Specify the following details:

    • Backup Directory: The directory that you wish to back up. The specified directory and all its sub-directories will be backed up.

    • No. of Backlogs: Your backup archives will be rotated these many times before being deleted.

      Note

      The No. of Backlogs should not exceed 3.

      Attention

      You will encounter an error message as below if you try to input a value greater than 3:

      No. of Backlogs can not be more than 3

      You are allowed to add as many policies as you want under your hosting package. However, you can add only one policy per directory.

    • Rotation Cycle: Select either Daily, Weekly or Monthly from the drop-down. Archive files are rotated depending upon the cycle you select.

  5. Click Submit.

Adding a Backup Policy for a Linux Hosting package

  1. Login to your Control Panel, Search for the domain name for which you have purchased this Hosting Order and go to the Order Information view. 3

  2. Click the Manage Web Hosting link.

  3. In the Menu, point to Manage Website and then click Backup Manager.

  4. Specify the following details:

    • No. of Backlogs: Your backup archives will be rotated these many times before being deleted.

      Note

      All the directories under your Linux Hosting package will be backed up.

    • Rotation Cycle: Select either Daily, Weekly or Monthly from the drop-down. Archive files are rotated depending upon the cycle you select.

  5. Click Save.
